Stress-Profilen.com is a knowledge forum for research-based approaches to work on stress, mental health and psychological safety. Therefore, we only work with internationally validated tools. We actively participate in the ongoing validation of these instruments, both in relation to the underlying psychometric models and in the ongoing linguistic adaption and validation in Denmark and Norway.

We designed the brand name after the profile tool that we use and develop internationally.

The Stress Profile is a profile tool developed in a collaboration between Prof. John G. Geier, Geier Learning Inc and persolog GmbH based on 50 years of internationally recognized stress and personality research. The Stress Profile is the only analytical tool of its kind that reflects individual stress-related behavior in combination with stressors.

The Stress Profile is designed to provide a precise analysis of the life and work situation of the profile person. The analysis creates a basis for a targeted and productive handling of the individual´s stress.

The Stress Profile is an internationally validated testing tool with a high degree of reliability (reliability coefficients on the individual questions of at least 0,7 on Cronbach´s Alpha).

Preventive work with stress

The profile creates the opportunity to prevent stress for the individual, at group level and in relation to the whole organization.

For example, the profile can be used prior to the annual performance review and employment development planning and form a basis for a concrete conversation about the employee´s well-being and aims and desire for development.

The stressors that the Stress Profile measures are divided into the following categories and can therefore e.g. be included in work with workplace assessment.

  • The design and conditions of the job itself
  • Social conditions and work environment
  • Organizational structures and terms.

Individual personality traits

The Stress Profile – combined with coaching – also offers the opportunity to prevent stress for the individual. For the group or for the organization, because it raises awareness of the conditions in everyday life that affect well-being.

In addition to the Stress Profile we deal with the concept of Psychological Safety as an approach to both organizational and individual learning, development and innovation.

Psychological safety in organisations

Lack of psychological safety between manager- leader, manager employee and employee-employee in between prevents the organization from exploiting its potential and can therefore easily become an impediment to development, innovation, and learning in general.

Psychological safety also has a very large impact on the level of stress in the organization, and therefore we offer an approach that combines the detection of stress and the primary stressors in the organization with advice in creating increased psychological safety.
